February 2006 Forecast - Jan 16, 2006

Just this afternoon I heard the comment mumbled, "Death, Taxes and fishing with the Robinson Brothers", meaning I hope, that fishing trips with us are a sure thing. Hopefully there wasn't a negative connotation involved. Not that most fishermen need incentive, but now that the holidays are behind us, maybe it's time to start thinking about planning to get some quality fishing in? I don't know about you but I'm certainly looking forward to a good fishing season this year. Tommy and Chris have some dates open in the Keys next month (yes, it's almost February already) and Tommy is planning on trying to stay and fish the Keys the first couple weeks of April if he has any more takers. Permit, bonefish, tarpon and barracuda are the main stay of these fly & light tackle trips. In March, Tommy still has a couple of days open the end of the month in the Everglades for Snook fishing. Nathan is still working on his Pompano prediction for this spring, I'll get back to you as soon as it's made public, but in the mean time, Flats & Bayfishing trips are available out of Apalachicola. (Offshore too!) As long as the weather cooperates - and it mostly does this time of year, the fishing is going to be good. Call or email if you have questions or if you need details! ( If you've made tentative reservations for a fishing trip with us in 2006, please note that your trip is not confirmed until we receive your deposit.)
