First full day of Fall - Sep 24, 2003

Hooray! It's officially Fall and the fall fishing season has begun. White shrimp are beginning to migrate, the last front has moved through and it's clear as a bell this morning. You might get the idea that this is my favorite time of year here. It's also many of our regular angler's favorite time to fish here - primarily because they have learned how fantastic our fall fishing can be for Redfish in shallow water, a few varieties of Trout, Mackerel, Crevalle, Flounder, etc. Fridays and Saturdays book up fast, especially for Bayfishing, so if you can fish Sunday - Thursday you're in for a treat.

Our 2 week diving trip through The Florida Keys Dive Center in Tavernier was excellent! 3 PADI certifications later, we are Advanced, Open Water, Nitrox certified divers. I have 15 dives in and Tommy managed 18. (If you go, ask for Pam - I couldn't have done it without her) Now I need a vacation from my vacation - WHEW! On the way home from south Florida, we stopped by Hells Bay Boatworks in Titusville to pick up Tommy's brand new 18' Marquesa. This boat is the finest flats skiff we have ever owned to date. Chris' new boat should be ready soon.

Capt. Jr. Holland has officially finished his custom built houseboat which sits just at the mouth of Scipio Creek, next door to our dock on Water St. Not only will he give you a guided tour of his beautiful creation, but he'll even let you sleep on it! It sleeps a minimum of 4 with full kitchen, modern bath and the best screen porch view in the county.

Our new brochure is on the drawing board so as soon as it's printed I'll send out info on next years line-up. Thanks for your patience. Have a great weekend!
