Im happy to be able to report that there ARE Redfish on the Flats right now and they are actually biting. Capt. Scott fly fished yesterday and saw plenty of fish wallowing around in the mud - they caught & released 3 Reds in the slot limit (18-27"). It was a pretty day, the water was crystal clear, but the wind picked up in the afternoon. Best time to fish is about 10 am - 1 pm; depending on the tide, the temperature and the light are enhanced then. Walter Armistead reported in that he and his fishing buddy Heath Galloway caught 11 Redfish on fly a week ago on a incoming tide - said they were tailing and mudding all over the bay.

If youre planning to be here Christmas week we shouldnt have any trouble getting you out on the water and maybe even send you home with some Holiday Trout or Reds. Steve Harris likes to start the year off right & has already booked his New Years Day trip with Capt. Chad.

2003 Reservations - Please be sure to contact me to firm up your plans for either the Keys, Everglades or next summer for Tarpon. Tommy and Chris still have dates available in the Keys and the Everglades and Tarpon dates beginning in early August. I have obtained our phone numbers for both the Keys & Everglades for those of you already confirmed.
