Rick Lhotan with Redfish - Dec 17, 2001

Have you ever thrown a party and no one came? You sent out the invitations in a timely manner, you had the best gourmet food catered, the house was spotless, the music upbeat & trendy, the setting and the weather was perfect, you were wearing a new outfit and you looked like a million bucks and still NO ONE BOTHERED TO SHOW UP. Well, that didn’t happen, primarily because I don’t really like to entertain, but it feels that way. I have that same “You should have been here” feeling because “You don’t know what you missed”. If only we could have bottled the weather and the fishing conditions over the past 4 weeks Tommy & I could both retire. To be perfectly honest, I don’t think the lack of interest in fishing recently has hurt anybody’s feelings as most of the fishing guides around here would rather be hunting.

Tommy came out of the woods long enough to put Judd Lisenby and his wife Nicole (Ozark, AL) on some Redfish last Saturday. Judd was concerned that Nicole may not exactly take to fishing and was prepared for a short day on the water. But, as luck (and Tommy Robinson) will have it, we think Nicole may be hooked on flats fishing. Jason proved to Chris Coile from Stevensville, MD that our fall fly-fishing is worthy. Chris, who fly fishes all over the country, had no complaints with the dozen or so Reds he landed on December 1st. Rob Atkins & his wife Julie enjoyed their Bay-fishing trip with Capt. Chad on the same day, catching a boatload of speckled trout.

Our online store is up and running. Check it out and let me know what you think. So far, the only item for sale is our Logo hats but there may be more to come, so stay tuned. The Winter/Spring issue of The Robinson Brothers Newsletter went in the mail last Friday. If you don’t get yours, it may be due to an address change I missed. I’ll be glad to update or add you to the list. Be sure to call me if you are thinking about fishing during the coming holidays, we have plenty of availability. If we don’t see you here, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
