- Spring, Summer and Fall Trips
- During this time of the year, the redfish, trout and several other game fish move into the shallow waters. Top water lures and flies can produce exciting action, whether you are casting the marsh or fishing the clear bays and flats of the area. Typically, our guests might encounter redfish, trout, pompano, bluefish, ladyfish, jack crevalle, cobia, spinner sharks, tripletail and spanish mackerel. Tarpon are also caught during the summer months.
- Winter Trips
- As the water temperatures fall, redfish and trout move into the numerous creeks and rivers in the area. This migration occurs due to the fish seeking a more stable water temperature as the seasonal cold fronts pass through. These fish can be caught on artificial lures and flies. Our guests also typically encounter striped bass, bream, and hybrid bass during the winter season.
- The Florida Keys
- If you've fished with Tommy or Chris in Apalachicola, for a change you might want to join them in the Lower Keys out of Key West in the spring or fall. Keys trips for Permit, Tarpon, Bonefish & Barracuda are February through the end of April and the beginning of September through the first part of November. Please call for availability & details.
- Lunch and Drinks - for you and your fishing partner. Area grocery stores are open until 9:00 PM and there are several convenience stores with extended hours.
- Polarized Sunglasses - brown or amber tint work best in shallow water.
- Appropriate Clothing - light layers are best. Temperatures in north Florida can vary from the mid 40's to the upper 80's in sping and fall and in the summer the upper 90's are the norm. Rain is also a possibility so pack your rain gear. Check the Weather Channel!
